Children are often referred to as flowers because, much like blossoms in a garden, they are delicate, beautiful, and filled with potential. Just as flowers need sunlight, water, and care to thrive, children require love, guidance, and attention to grow into their fullest selves. They start as seeds of promise, and with nurturing, they bloom into vibrant individuals, each unique and full of life.
But this nurturing extends beyond just the children in our care—it’s equally important to nurture the child within us. We all carry that inner child, the part of us that remains curious, hopeful, and in need of care. As we guide and nurture the young lives around us, let’s not forget to tend to ourselves as well. By watering our own dreams, embracing joy, and practicing self-compassion, we too can continue to grow and bloom throughout life.
Remember: just as a garden flourishes when each flower is cared for, so too do we thrive when we nurture both others and ourselves.
